besides the intense loneliness and isolation that comes with creation, pursuing my dreams has brought me in touch with the most amazing people .
@artby.hh was instrumental in my hair styling for making this film. we combined a painting and still from the film Irma Vep (a huge inspiration for Conejita - s/o Olivier Assayas) and put it on my head to remind myself every day in argentina why i was there and what i was working towards. he is one of the truest artists i’ve ever met.
the first time i went to argentina i met
@juanpabloretaralli . one of the coolest kindest dudes i’ve ever met. still my bro today. the couple nights he cooked dinner and played guitar in argentina were my saving grace while producing this film and producing work for my day job.
@juliana_nojulieta , the lady with a million jobs, tirelessly worked to bring my vision to life. she brought me to places where real peeps bought their clothes. places i as a tourist and non native never would’ve discovered. those simple days are huge highlights to me and im so grateful — also she is very funny.
then there’s
@zoeliadelaguila . my fearless producer. without zoe this film would not have happened. she gave me confidence. got 20 oranges apples and pieces of corn when i asked. got a fire extinguisher when needed. truly. my hero (sorry for the pic i know it’s not flattering but i love it )
i met
@ramirosaubidet !!! the fuckin man. an incredible dp. great colorist ! and great friend. we met over a quick beer and i know this was the right collaborator. when he fucked up his foot and needed a boot i was nervous but he pulled right through and did some AWESOME camera work.
there are SOOO MANY more people i could celebrate but these few illustrate my belief that pursuing your passions is not just about the end result but the mind blowing and life changing connections you make along the
