I used to get annoyed with myself when my Polaroids didn’t come out perfect (in this case Type 55). . Looking at things now, I’ve learned to embrace imperfection and understand that it is part of process. Anyway, perfect is boring and not half as much fun. . #imperfect #polaroïd #type55 #landscape #analogue

Happy Hogmanay! What a year this has been. After 20+ years in photography production I decided I needed to change path. I’d lost my mojo and my confidence was rock bottom, I was masking my way through life and it was draining me. I turned 60 and decided with determination that if I couldn’t change my current situation, then I needed to change myself. It took time and energy to make the changes, I committed to trauma therapy and managing my ADHD. I focussed my energy on creative projects that meant the most to me (with a great bunch of new found friends) and with the support of my loved ones I was determined to bring about change. We need to take time to reflect on and grab hold of the things that mean the most to us. Not to ignore or put off for another day, the things that fulfil us. I end this year thankful for the love of my family, I am re-energised, primed and excited to be working with an incredible group of people and looking forward to some amazing creative projects in 2026. Thank you for following me this year and I wish you and yours a very happy New Year!

After 20+ years I have decided to leave my role at Metro Imaging. . Not an easy decision to make but sometimes when you try hard to change things and nothing happens, you have to choose to change yourself. . I was incredibly sad to leave, but I am now more excited by what the future has in store for my creativity and looking forward to new adventures. . #creativeminds #photographynow #artartart #creativedirector #mentalhealthmatters
