"Τορκί Μπάρ" is the newest book of the very talented Nikos Vergetis, published by Εκδόσεις Έρμα.
Dimitris Tzetzas mastered the idea in his head to match the vibe and the feeling of the book, so we had to shoot this project straight on 16mm film, with only stock of 3 B&W positive Fomapan film rolls.
After he showed me the devious ways to work properly with his 16mm film camera, Bolex H16, we came up with the result above.
This is my first project which i am shooting with a 16mm film camera, so be kind!

I have been following Planet of Zeus since 2011, sharing in their journey through every high and low, across Greece and beyond. Over the years, I often wondered what it would be like to witness the creative process from inside the studio, to see how the music truly comes to life.
That opportunity came when Giannis, P.O.Z's Bassist, told me the band was beginning work on what would become their new album, Afterlife. From the very beginning, I felt both excited and honored to document this process. With my camera, I captured the careful setup of each instrument, the focused atmosphere of the studio, and the inevitable challenges that arise when creativity is pushed to its limits.
More than the technical side of recording, my intention was to portray the human side of making an album. I wanted to reveal the thoughts, emotions, and interactions that shape the music, the moments of tension and inspiration, and the bond that drives a band forward.
Throughout 2023, I followed the recording sessions closely. The result is a short music documentary titled Preview Of An Afterlife, an honest and intimate look at the journey behind the album, seen through my lens.
A huge thank you to Planet of Zeus for the music, the laughter, and above all, the trust.

“Afterlife”, our sixth album, marked the beginning of a new chapter for us , one where we consciously chose to reinvent ourselves.
Following the prophetic pre-COVID release of “Faith in Physics” and the cancellation of our planned European and North American tours, we turned inward. We confronted our vulnerability, reflected on everything that had changed, and ultimately emerged stronger and more determined than ever.
This mini documentary, filmed by Steve Kekis, offers an intimate look into the recording sessions of “Afterlife.” It captures the doubts, the intensity, the creative process, and the raw emotions behind the music.
We’re truly excited to finally share it with you, just days before the start of our Balkan tour.
