It was 10 years ago today I first walked into St. John Smithfield. I had been in London for a week and lined up a couple stages around the city. After a few days drinking the punch and re-learning how to cook at St. John I was offered a job. I asked Big John if it’s a good place to work and he said “It’s a great job and the best restaurant in the world! ” I was in! And He was right!
My last official day as Head Chef at Smithfield is May 31. It’s time for some fresh air and a change of pace, so the family and I are moving up to beautiful North Yorkshire.
I’ll try to share some memories over the next month or so with a few posts!
