Is our ego the biggest monster of modern times?
Theatre collective Krapp creates COPYRIOT in collaboration with KVS, a tragicomical mirror world about self-optimization, loneliness and identity. Inspired by Charlie Kaufman’s films and Dostoevsky’s The Double, the piece follows a character who literally meets a better version of herself. In a world that feels like a copy of a copy, individuality blurs with idealised doubles. Moving between the quirky and the emotional, Krapp confronts the biggest monster of modern times: the ego.
