I love so many things about this video. The people are number one. Their dancing and the team work that goes into making this all look so easy makes me very proud. I am so grateful for the time spent with each of these humans. I love that our passions and humor translate into the studio space & that everyone is so humble and willing to help one another/ learn from each other. On this day I just had a combo and a space booked and thank god these incredible people. They helped pull the outfits together @mialmaxwell @madelinejsong @linda_celine @sh8dytel @joshvason @jakevisthomason @markibanez__ @andrewmulet @saya_tnk helped me organize the space, music and @jakevisthomason cut the @tyla beat @directedbyjon helped capture it and make it all look extra beautiful. I am so happy to have these stars showcase my choreography and to have them inspire me. I am so happy with where we are and all the places we will go. here’s a group of some beautiful male dancers in my class today. It’s so lovely to have a space where we can take our time to try out things. Thank you to all the dancers who enter my space & thank you to all the people who show up consistently in more ways than one. I think that’s what this video shows & what excites me most. FEIN!!!!!! So during my first break from tour- back in June-I was asked to create for a showcase. I had no steps and no vibe but people I loved in mind to do whatever would come out. The schedule was so tight and I had no real energy/ time to create an entire piece but I was so happy to get in the studio. We got together and had some fun! I couldn’t pull a showcase off but I thought we have to capture this moment. We shot super early the last morning I was in town to accommodate everyone’s conflicts. We found a space that replied in the wee hours of the night. @directedbyjon filmed and edited this beautifully per usual and elevated it all. @juanamartello let me borrow tons of clothes and we just made something happen. @saya_tnk @linda_celine @mialmaxwell @madelinejsong @kyla_makovsky made it all look so easy. Thank you for your hard work on this and endless belief in me. I always love every chance I get to be with these ladies and I’m so excited for more with them. I’m posting this to share endless amounts of gratitude.

Because we haven’t been in the studio together for over two months and it is our safe space. Thank you to everyone who took class today and supports me and my work. Thank you to these gems. In January 2024 I choreographed a combo to this song because I needed a new convention combo :) Of course sharing it with my people helped me out and made me so happy. Throughout the year I taught it some more and eventually by the end of the year I turned it into a full piece for PACE University. The process of creating for them was quick but I was so inspired everyday in the studio with them and @madelinejsong . @roberta_lavalle also helped us out and I was so impressed by the students’ talents and so grateful for their energy. The piece is so hard so I could’ve stopped there. But I know the feeling I get watching my people do it & I needed to be in the room with all of them/ have others see what I see. So I called the cleanest camera king I know @n8thankim to elevate and finesse the magic. I told @briannapavon we needed a clean look and she worked her magic like she always does. What attracts me the most to these performers is their consistency. I am so thankful they dedicate their time and bodies to me and believe in the vision. They are my dream come true. I am so proud to share them and the work we do. I made this combo up back in September and of course wanted to have some of my people come together and film it. It was a busy end of the year and tons of scheduling conflicts came up in the process of wanting to get this filmed. But I’m so happy with the dancing in this one and gratefully so in love with the process. Having these humans dance my work brings me so much peace and calmness. And to have @natsukimiya my longtime dance partner- inspiration and once taller than me family member a part of this was the cherry on top of it all. Thank you to @n8thankim for being down to capture and edit this so masterfully for me. Thank you @briannapavon for getting these looks together and providing the cohesive energy we always need. Thank you @madelinejsong & @caitlynjholzer for being onset with me this special day. Thank you @tatemcrae for the beautiful music and inspiration.
