Yesterday was beautiful - so many wonderful conversations about food, music, history, family, migration and hope. It’s an honour to bring the tastes and sounds of Cyprus to our little corner of the world here in Margate. Thank you for showing up, trying my food, and letting my soundscape wash over you.
Koupes Palace is on today from 10am–8.30pm at Hoffs, with the soundscape running on the hour, every hour.
Then tonight from 9pm, the beautiful @brigitteaphrodite will lead us into party mode - £5 tickets available via @hoffs.margate or on the door.
People are wonderful. Let’s not forget it 💙

It's time!
After months of imagining this moment. We are here. The Koupes are ready, the soundscape is poised and I can't wait to welcome you into @hoffs.margate over the next two days (10am-8.30pm Friday & Saturday) to celebrate!
Here's a little snippet of the soundscape I've been working on - sounds recorded in Cyprus, lyrics given with love and blessing from a poet in our family, Χαράλαμπου Π. Χαραλάμπους and sung by me 🥰. This soundscape will be played on the hour, every hour.
τις πατρίδας τα παιδία
με το Κυπριόπουλλα
κι όλοι τους μαζί χορεύουν
και τους γύρω τους μαγεύουν
