Born in Canada, she is one of the leading voices in contemporary dance. With her Stephanie Lake Company (@stephanielakecompany ), she captivates audiences worldwide with her intense, physically complex, and deeply human works. What a weeeeekkkkkk! Jumping everyday between The Chronicles rehearsals with SLC and Seven Days (for Prism) rehearsals with Aus Ballet. Lucky me. I’m in awe of all of these dancers! The Chronicles opens in @brisbanefestival this Wednesday-Saturday 💚🌾💚 Seven Days for @ausballet opens September 25th at Regent Theatre 🧡🪑🧡

We’re farmers now 🐑 🐄 🌧️ 🐦 🪵 heaven! Edit: we haven’t actually moved to the countryside, haha. Still very much city people, just having a lovely time staying at a friend’s farm for a week. I’m still a choreographer- not a farmer! Thanks for your messages asking where we’ve moved to and what crops we’re growing. We can barely manage our garden at home so we’ll stick with our current vocations for now!

This was a special one! It was a dream to create new work ‘Artefact’ for Nuremberg Ballet - my first commission in Europe and also the 20th collaboration with amazing Robin Fox. The full standing ovation from four tiers of audience on opening night was the absolute cherry on top! We’re still on a high. Thank you @monterogoyo for the invitation, @preston_mcbain for being such a fabulous rehearsal director, all of the wonderful people working behind the scenes at @staatstheaternuernberg and Nuremberg Ballet and especially big thanks to the 23 brilliant dancers - BIG LOVE! It was a privilege to share the bill with stunning works by @monterogoyo and @rafaelbonachela Performances run until June 14. ❤️❤️❤️
