What an incredible night. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the holidays with us. It meant a lot to see a full room of neighbors, small business owners, and longtime community leaders who care so deeply about the future of District 2.
I am especially grateful to Mayor Daniel Lurie for joining us and for his partnership as we work to build a safer, cleaner, and more welcoming city for families.

The election for District 2 Supervisor is in June 2026, and I’m running to keep serving our community.
This campaign is powered by the people who make our neighborhoods great: small business owners, neighborhood association leaders, and community advocates who know San Francisco best.
Their support means everything. It shows this a campaign for the neighborhoods, from the neighborhoods.
On Friday night, my campaign did an amazing bar crawl down Union and Chestnut St to support local businesses and hear directly from owners, workers, and neighbors.
It was great!

Today, I joined @_stevekerr_ at Pawz for Pierce’s Playaz, a kid-led dog competition supporting gun violence prevention.
Coach Kerr and I agree: there’s too much gun violence in our communities. That’s why I partnered with @piercespledge to launch San Francisco’s first-in-the-nation firearm storage program.
Now, any San Franciscan can safely store firearms at one of the city’s 10 police stations for up to a year; creating a safer option during times of crisis, conflict, or mental health struggles.
The program has already helped save a life, and cities like San Diego are now following San Francisco’s lead!
Today we remember Rita Semel, “the matriarch of San Francisco’s interfaith community,” who passed away at the age of 104.
A native San Franciscan from the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, Rita dedicated her life to bringing people together for a common good.
Through her work advancing women’s equality, fair housing, and co-founding the San Francisco Interfaith Council in the Presidio, she helped make our city more compassionate, inclusive, and united. She also served as a journalist at the San Francisco Chronicle and on the Human Services Commission.
Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and the stronger San Francisco she helped shape. She will be deeply missed.

A car stalled in front of the 22 while we were out gathering signatures, so we put our backs into it and got the bus rolling again.

At today’s Board meeting:
1. We voted to streamline the City Charter by getting rid of inactive commissions that haven’t met in years. It’s the first of many steps to make City government work more efficiently. Keep an eye out for additional charter amendments on your November ballot.
2. We pushed to expand the successful speed camera program, which has already led to 80% fewer speeding incidents at the 33 SF camera sites. It’s one of the best ways we can keep kids safe on their walk to school.
3. We’re continuing the push to revitalize downtown by creating the Downtown Hospitality Zone to help fill empty storefronts between Yerba Buena and Union Square. For downtown to fully bounce back, it needs to become a real 24/7 neighborhood, and this moves us in that direction.
4. Lastly, I had the honor of commending Marla Perkins, Choir Director at St. Mary’s Church in Cow Hollow. For more than 30 years, Marla has been a pillar of the community, and SF is a more magical place because of people like her.
