I Can Tell Just by Looking
Eleven people contemplate an experience that led to one of seven emotions, while their reactions are recorded. They then produce a theatrical, posed version of that emotion, as if they were telling a story to a child. The images are combined in a double-exposure.
The emotions are selected from American psychologist Paul Ekman’s list: anger, contempt, disgust, enjoyment, fear, sadness, and surprise.
Shown as 30 × 30 cm prints.
Opening 24 January 2026 at Full Circle in Brussels, by invitation; later viewings by appointment. Contact me for arrangements.
Thanks to @selbyjune for launching the project.
