It’s time, once again for my biennial post of @aultagram doing a backside lipslide in Sheffield with his aggressive, singular style… I was just lurking above the spot, drinking a beer and shot 2 frames. This one was good... At this point I retired from skateboard photography, 2-3 minutes after I started skateboard photography. Fujifilm Neopan 1600 +1 on a Canon T90 w/ 28mm f/2.8, and developed in my bathroom in xtol. (Dunno how I remember that)

Traipsing through the archives trying to find a 5 second clip from 20 years ago. No dice. I did find this little skatepark section from one million years ago, which wasn’t really seen. Filmed and edited by the late, great @blackpool_roll Also, if anybody has the very, very first videos from the Scene Preston (also RIP) website, please lemme know.

followed some random bloke into a 2000 year old hole in the ground. Hand dug by Roman soldiers. Steep as hell, and seemingly endless… Nowt down there. Good job 👏. Jordan.

I’m gonna start sharing some frames from some films I’ve shot over the past years, because a spooky entity told me to in a dream. This is from a lil’ un we made in Beijing for EA Sports (it’s in the game) and COPA90 a few years back. It follows the story of Nico Yannaris, of East London, who left the UK to become China's first nationalised international football player. I could lay out some wanky schpiel about creative decisions, like how the 4:3 aspect ratio (before it was cool), and tight edge-of-frame dynamics represents his feeling of being trapped back home, and how the 2x anamorphic represents a new freedom (square in the nose, that)... but we all have better things to do... I actually don't, but you might. 😊 Directed by @oikfilms , produced by @subliminal_prod , DP-ed by 🥴✋
