Very very excited to be included in RUINS: PERFORMING
QUEER HISTORY, curated by Nathan
Storey. RUINS is an iterative exhibition of interdisciplinary artists reckoning with queer histories, archives, and loss within their own contemporary studio practices. The artists in RUINS unearth LGBTQ+ histories, search for the fragmentary pieces, and reimagine our queer constellations.
This second iteration of RUINS
surveys intergenerational California-based artists whose works explore queer embodiment, intimacy, and space across drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and painting.
The exhibition includes work by Amy Adler, Ken Gonzales-Day, Cat Gunn, William E. Jones, Morgan Lieberman, Stephen Milner, Darian Newman, Matt Savitsky, and Joe Yorty.

It’s still hot as hell outside so I’m continuing my summer print sale! Please consider supporting me by purchasing one of these two prints. 11x14in, edition of 20. I made these photographs in COVID 2020 for a summer pride campaign for luggage brand Rimowa. Under the lockdown, making my two friends Bob and Tony model for me in their backyard because we couldn’t leave the house. LINK IN BIO. MUCH LOVE, STEPHEN
August was for exploring the great California mountain lakes. Big Bear, Mammoth Lakes, Lake Tahoe. Much needed break from the heat of Coachella Valley.
So yesterday I was almost done with my 6 day work road trip and I was all excited to get home for Sunday funday in Palm Springs when a dopey little Nevada state trooper pulled me over and put me in a 10 hour suspension/detention. He sent me to the Alamo Inn and here are some pictures of my time well spent. The staff was friendly btw.
