With regard to one of the most profound experiences of my beautiful life, I am forever grateful to my most sought after collaborator and inspiration, @divinenonchalance for always creating immaculate reflections of being that anchor our human experience.
Wholeheartedly, I Thank You, My Dearest Friend.
@the_cortege was a revelation of experience, one in which I am now blessed to always be infused and aligned in co -creation.
It will be an ongoing journey to tag and express my gratitude to all the souls involved, so forgive me if it takes time to properly acknowledge. Nonetheless, I LOVE YOU ALL.

With disbelief and heartbreak, our beloved Nimby has crossed the rainbow bridge.
🌬️✨❤️🌈🐾
Peacefully, Monday morning, Nimby left this plane held lovingly in Elena’s arms, with mine around them in our bed. Her sudden health collapse came quickly and took her far too soon. While Elena’s baby for 14 years, my last 3 years with her solidified her as my absolute favorite of any cat I’ve known over my years.
She was small in size, but dense when she stood on you, we called her a “fur tank” and thought she’d have a career in acupressure. Tho small, she was fierce, swatting at the pit bull next door through our fence to protect us. She was a constant companion, always following us to whatever room we inhabited. She would always work with me at my desk and sit on my lap or happily lounge in the sun spilling through the windows behind my laptop. She would joyfully gaze and chirp at the birds and butterflies flittering about. She would greet us at the door every time we returned home and would stretch and purr immediately. We used to say she was letting us know that she was “doing great, so comfy”.
When Elena and I started dating I was already so in love (with them both 😘) but would share photos of Nimby to text threads with friends and Elena would jokingly say, “let them know that’s MY cat.” But in the three short years, I think I finally was considered to be her “papa” as well. And though heartbroken, I am forever grateful for the love she shared and allowed me to feel and express.
My heart goes out to my wonderful wife, Elena, in the passing of your first true fur baby. Thank you for rescuing this little fluffy angel from the mean streets of Oakland after she was discovered in a bag in a couch on the street beneath a NIMBY sign. Thank you for giving her an amazing life and for loving her and caring for her as deeply as you have. I’m certain she chose YOU for her mother for the adventures and love she knew she would receive. She gave you the beautiful gift in learning to feel the closest unconditional love so deeply and how to appreciate every brief and precious moment we have.
