Time in Bangkok melted. I wish to thank the charming and highly capable team at MATDOT art centre who both looked after me and left me to focus on my projects. As art residencies go this is an excellent set up located in an excellent neighbourhood of an excellent city in an fascinating country. I highly recommend. Khop Khun khráp.
I also wish to thank the Australian Embassy in Bangkok for arranging my final artist talk at Chulalongkorn University
From a tram full of tipsy, silver garden lovers, mega eyelashes and smoked ceremonial mob l watched a smorgasbord of smashed angels and sporty hoons adorned with digital tattoos. Local gems and riffraff all snacking on tandoori dumplings in front of comedians, french film posters and a fresh pile of manure from a police horse. Time to say bye to the delightfully designed, culturally chaotic, climatically erratic, fertilized and tasty town l was born in. Until next time Melbourne.
I must applaud all firefighters on the ground and in the air for there incredible work. Looks like our town was not burnt during recent bushfires here in WA. 1000 thanks!
