Very Grateful to have been invited by Pastor Steven Khoury and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel to visit the Holy Land next week. Looking forward to spending time alongside other pastors listening, learning, and building meaningful relationships across cultures and contexts. I appreciate the generous hospitality of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in making this experience possible and look forward to meeting with officials while we are there. The work Pastor Khoury is doing is extremely meaningful as he faithfully serves people from all walks of life there in Bethlehem and beyond. He’s a visionary leader and is ministering with humility to Christians, Jews, and Muslims alike as he points everyone to Christ. Please join me in praying for this trip for wisdom, protection, and continued doors to be opened. Also, for the opportunity to share stories of Hope along the way. Spending Pentecost Sunday in Jerusalem seems surreal to say the least.

So grateful for the opportunity to host our first prayer gathering today on the Capitol steps in Frankfort for the 🇺🇸 National Day of Prayer 🙏 Thankful for everyone who attended, and we look forward with anticipation to what God has in store for the future. We also appreciate Governor Beshear issuing a proclamation recognizing today as a Day of Prayer for our country. Thankful for the friends who made the long trip from Mayfield to join us. #grateful #praywithoutceasing #NationalDayofPrayer

Grateful to get to see this guy compete in the long jump and 200 meter tonight. I have missed the first few track meets but glad Andrea and I were able to support him together tonight.

I am so grateful for what God is doing in Brad Copeland’s life. He has been faithfully walking out the call of God on his life and today he preached an incredible message on community. Both he and Janeka Copeland are gifts to our church and I am excited about the future for them both. #equipped #community #hishouse

During the last few weeks, I’ve felt a growing burden to see people put their differences aside and come together in prayer. In a time marked by so much noise, division, and uncertainty we can choose something else. On May 7th, I would like to invite you to join me and others on the steps of the Capitol Building in Frankfort, Kentucky, for the National Day of Prayer, as we gather from across the Commonwealth to stand in unity and lift up our communities, our leaders, and our nation in prayer. #calltoprayer #prayforamerica #prayfirst #youreinvited #pleaseshare

One of the most influential men in my life was my grandfather. He loved God and he loved people. He served our country, he served his family, and he served the Lord. I remember growing up and him taking me with him to pass out Tootsie Rolls as we raised money to support the ministry of The Knights of Columbus to special needs children. When I stayed with him and my grandmother, I watched him pray the rosary, lead the family in advent, and offer hospitality to strangers. He was awarded the Sophia Award for stewardship out of the Owensboro Diocese for his commitment to serving others. I went to a different church, but his love for Christ and faith has forever impacted mine. He passionately lived it, not afraid to share his convictions with myself and others. He was a patriot! He was one of my heroes. Today, I am wondering what he would say about so many things. How would he express his thoughts about the clear pattern of defiling what is holy and sacred to the Christian faith through words, images, and actions? How would he respond to the remarks made by a sitting president of the the country he loved attacking the leader of the faith he lived for opposition to war and violence? I don’t suppose he would be shy. He never was. I also suspect he would have wept, and so should we. God help us to honor the faith of our fathers. May we respect what is holy and refuse what is profane.

⚠️Warning & a Witness: The Fall of Nebuchadnezzar Scripture clearly teaches us the danger of unchecked pride. Proverbs 16 warns: “Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.” Daniel 4 gives us the witness as King Nebuchadnezzar boasts: “By MY own mighty power, I have built this beautiful city as my royal residence to display MY majestic splendor.” In that very moment, judgment came—and he was struck mad. This fall didn’t happen overnight. Leading up to it, we see repeated moments where pride and ego took the place of humility. When leaders exalt themselves with this kind of hubris, we should recognize the sobering outcome ahead. Be careful which way the tree falls… and be ready to help those who may be caught in its path. The same God who humbles the proud is the God who exalts the humble. May we examine our hearts carefully—and refuse to let pride take root. May we pray for those who lead. May we be unwilling to bow to any other than Christ.

Spring Break has not gone the way we thought it would. But we are so grateful Andrea is getting to go home today after being admitted Monday morning. We didn’t realize it on Sunday when she prayed for everyone else that she actually had double pneumonia and needed prayer herself. Thankful for our church family and for everyone that has prayed. Appreciate my parents for looking after our boys. Also, the staff here at Jackson Purchase have been very kind and professional. Looking forward to taking the next few days to rest.
