Just back from 5 days off grid and an absolute face melter w/ @stephenborasch … not pictured is the 1:30 AM wake up, 6 hr drive, and 7 mile hike w/ 40lb pack on day 1, the sleepless nights, 3AM wake ups with 10 mile uphill legs, rain, hail, setting up shop soaking wet, blistered feet, soreness in places I didn’t know got sore, the list goes on…40 miles, 6k to 12k elevation and back on the most epic terrain I’ve ever experienced..moral of the story - you GET what you “pay” for 🫶🏼
The sweetest boy left us a little while ago and I think about him everyday.
He was such a special soul and the kindest giant who wanted to be everyone’s friend. He loved his family in ways we could see and feel and he loved them in ways we’ll never know.
Henry, I’m so thankful to the people who brought you into my life. I’m thankful I got to name you. I’m thankful I got to be your Dad, even for a little while.
I miss your bunnyhops, your barks, your butt-hugs…I miss our walks, our adventures, our snuggles…those memories will live in my heart forever.
I hope heaven has all the burgers and pasta, watering holes and cold tile you could ever dream of….

I should put this one to bed already….and I might have overcooked it….but I’ve been trying to balance a drawing that makes me happy with one meant to help rehabilitate the hand…I’ve still got a long way to go, but this one was fun!
