✨Ahead of their vOilah! concert on 14 May, string quartet Quatuor Elmire took part in a special outreach session dedicated to young audiences. 🎻🎨 Through live Debussy, storytelling and drawing, children were invited to discover French classical music in a playful and immersive way.

Yesterday, the Ambassador @stephen_march met with Peter Lam, newly appointed CEO of the Institute of Technical Education, alongside the leadership teams of @itecollegewest and @itecollegeeast to discuss France-Singapore cooperation in vocational training and skills development. 🇫🇷🎓🇸🇬 Discussions focused on the Franco-Singapore vocational campus project, developed with Schneider Electric and the French Ministry of Education, as well as partnerships in key sectors such as Industry 4.0, energy, aerospace and hospitality. 🔋⚡✈️ The meeting also reviewed recent exchanges between ITE, French institutions and companies, with a view to strengthening cooperation in technical education and innovation.

🎓A new milestone for French language learning in Singapore. Nanyang Technological University @ntu_sg has officially launched its new Second Major in French,enabling students to take courses on Francophone culture, history, society, politics and economics at B1 level. French Ambassador @stephen_march highlighted the role of French as a language of opportunity, innovation and international cooperation. His speech was followed by a discussion with Jon Edward Wilson, Dean of CoHASS, and Jacob Stegenga, Chair of Humanities, on NTU’s overall strategy for preparing students for an increasingly connected and multipolar world. With the presence of @businessfrance and the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, the event also underlined the concrete academic and professional pathways opened by French language skills. Congratulations to NTU, the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, the Centre for Modern Languages, the French teachers and all partners involved. 🇫🇷🇸🇬

Co-organised by the @singaporepoliceforce , France’s Directorate for International Security Cooperation, the Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates @moiuae and the International Security Alliance, the conference brought together experts and partners from Singapore, France, the UAE, ASEAN and beyond. Faced with an increasingly sophisticated transnational threat, discussions focused on strengthening coordination between law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, technology companies and telecommunications operators.
