The past couple days have been eventful and meaningful both on a professional level as well as personal.
1️⃣ On Thursday (Earth Day) we premiered a one-hour climate special in partnership with
@discoveryplus that looked at the intersections climate across public health, environmental justice, green economy and national security. The special included a range of high profile interviews and human interest stories that culminated in an exclusive 1:1 interview with
@vp Kamala Harris.
2️⃣ On Saturday
@potus Joe Biden did what no other U.S. President has done despite many previous commitments from his predecessors. He stood up to 106 years of Turkish denialism and called the atrocities of the Armenian people by its rightful name, genocide. My wife is Armenian and my children are direct descendants of genocide survivors, and these words by the President are meaningful and important.
3️⃣ Late last year we at
@nowthisnews were invited to help support and co-produce a short film (
@2distantstrangers ) that was made by two incredible filmmakers
@travon and
@martindesmondroe about a topic and conversation that needs to be had in this country, and tonight that film is up for an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short. I encourage all to go watch this film on Netflix and continue to amplify it’s important message.
