Not bad for a girl who was born disabled… from never supposed to walk, to making career out of playing basketball, to partnering with major brands including the NBA….yall don’t even understand how proud I am of little me. I do a bad job of talking about my past and how much we had to go through to get here and when I do talk about it, I do it so nonchalantly that it seems like it was easy because I feel like there’s always someone who has it worse. But if y’all knew how much pain I went through as a kid and still to this day to just be able to do normal things like walk and run. Every time I step onto a court, I don’t even care what happens, I’m just happy to be there even though I know that as soon as I finish and the adrenaline wears off, I’m going to be in pain. I don’t talk about that side. But my videographer gets to see it now. When we finish our portable hoop days and I can’t even walk after because it hurts so bad. I love this game so much and everything it’s done for me. And if I could give any piece of advice to anyone, I’d say if you want something, GO GET IT. Nothing is impossible. No matter what anyone tells you. Somethings will be harder, sometimes life won’t be fair, sometimes you’re going to have to work more than the people around you…but if you want it and you are willing to give it everything inside of you with no excuses, you can have it. GO GET IT. If I can do it, you can do it. I believe in you. Love you! Say it back!
