Last month I took an oil painting class at the Art Students League @aslnyc . I wanted to learn new techniques to further evolve my art and also show up for myself and my craft. I really enjoyed being back in a classroom, surrounded by incredibly talented artists all at different stages of their art journey. I’m now looking forward to working on the next canvas and applying these new techniques.

Early last year I worked with the team at @simonandschuster to create illustrations for @raquelreichard ‘s recent book, Self-Care for Latinas. I am so grateful and honored to work on this, as not only is it my first book cover (a dream fulfilled!!) but an important book about celebrating our communities resilience and the power of self-love.
Seeing my art displayed together brings me so much joy! Forever grateful for everyone who has supported me. Special shoutout to @anny_j0 who created such a beautiful space with this collection. 💖
I have been painting consistently the past few months and am working on a piece that means a lot to me in many ways. I’ll be sharing more on it soon. It’s been a minute, but I haven’t forgotten how to post 🤞🏾💕.
This piece, titled “La Galería,” is my take on the traditional Dominican muñecas Limé. First created by sculptor Liliana Mera Limé, these ceramic faceless dolls represent the broad spectrum of Dominican beauty and diversity. These dolls can be found in nearly every Dominican home, in various colors, sizes, and skin tones. The gate illustrated in the background is inspired by the one my grandmother has in her galería (porch) in Santo Domingo, with her little garden out front.
Thank you to @themusegalleryny@yvee_vega@danny_peguero for putting together this amazing event to celebrate Dominican pride.
Excited to share this project I worked on for @daynaisomjohnson nursery! She wanted artwork that celebrated Black inventions while also feeling playful and vibrant. It was such an honor to create something so meaningful that also aligned with what I was experiencing in my own life. Check out the full room, the cutest finds from @etsy , and @daynaisomjohnson beautiful family in the @dominomag feature. ♥️
As a grant recipient, I was blessed to receive Full Spectrum midwifery care from the incredible team at @welcometomaryam . My partner and I took advantage of every class, and the care, love, and support we received were truly life-changing.
Now, I’m honored to give back by donating a portion of my art sales to support @birthingplacebx Foundation’s mission for the month of December. Join me in celebrating the transformative power of compassionate care and community. ♥️

I used to think about what kind of mother I would be, and one of the things that was very important to me was showing my baby what her momma loves to do. Being able to intertwine creating art with motherhood is such a privilege, and I don’t take that for granted. Now, this is definitely not what every day looks like, but I’m grateful for the moments when I can make it work. Thank you, God. ✨
