@andy_taylor40 & I have just come back from the most wonderful holiday in Florence. I’ll do some more posts later on various bits, but between private wine tastings in our hotels 15th century wine cellar, to La Specola (the natural history museum - where else would be our first port of call?), to some of the greatest works of art and architecture in the world, to amazing food, and just a brilliant, nerdy, relaxing time, we’ve had the best holiday. I spent most of yesterday exploring @barbicancentre before Mark and I went to see an excellent talk on the 1980 Iranian Embassy Siege by Ben Macintyre with siege hostage Sim Harris. A thoroughly entertaining and interesting evening, can’t wait to read the book now.
