Say hello to one of the desert’s most powerful nighttime hunters...the Great Horned Owl! 🦉
Here are some fun facts about this incredible bird ⤵️
• They’re known as the “tiger of the sky” thanks to their silent flight + fierce hunting skills
• Their “horns” are actually just feather tufts, not ears!
• They can rotate their heads up to 270 degrees
• Their grip is so strong it’s comparable to a large dog’s bite force
• You might hear their deep “hoo-hoo” call echoing through the desert at night
