This week, after years of working the full time job and doing his part to support his fam, he’s officially his own boss.

The Paczki 5K Dash/Walk is April 25 at Heritage Landing. Lakeshore Trail, chip timed, USATF sanctioned.
It’s put on by the Muskegon Polish Festival crew, with Run Muskegon involved and Betten Automotive backing it. Lots of fun events popping up out there!
Finish line includes a paczki, festival entry, and something to drink.
Proceeds go back into the festival and local nonprofits.

We’ve been around the Michigan gravel scene this spring.
@waterloogravel is different.
It will be kicking off the @boundlessrr.co Grand Prix Race Series kicks off on April 25th. Gravel + Mountain, one series. $30K prize purse. Still time to save your place at the start line.
Gravel season is in full motion now and the Michigan Gravel Race Series and I LOVE GRAVEL RACING are rolling into the second race of the 2026 series. Stop by and visit them this weekend at the Dirty 30 Gravel Events! Never too early to get signed up and start collecting points.

Saturday kicked off my 2026 @stellafly photography calendar at Millennium Park with the Meals on Wheels West Michigan’s 5th annual March for Meals Community Walk & 5K Run. It is a family-friendly event for people (and dogs) of all ages to come together to support the health and independence of older adults in West Michigan. The morning started off a bit “brisk”, but as the sun came out the sky remained free of clouds with no wind which made it a great event and a beautiful venue.

We had such a great day in Vandalia covering The 13th Annual Melting Mann.
Chilly morning miles and a solid, speedy start to the season for the Michigan Gravel Race Series and I Love Gravel Racing Series.
Huge thanks to Dan Frazier and the entire Melting Mann crew for having us out and letting us be part of the fun. Vandalia showed up offering up a the perfect venue, fast roads, and a great community who welcomed cyclists in all the right ways.

Grateful to be back for year three shooting the Meals on Wheels Western Michigan March for Meals 5K.
All ages and abilities are welcome. Kids 0 to 7 participate free, dogs can join in too, and there will be a food-themed costume contest, local vendors, awards, fun prizes, and festivities under Grant Pavilion.
Best of all, every registration helps fund meals and wellness checks for seniors. All of this supports Meals on Wheels, and it matters.
We’ll be out there again this weekend with Chris Robotham out on course, capturing the morning at the park.
If you’ve been thinking about signing up, this is a good one to show up for.

Some of our favorites from White Pine Thaw - Marathon Relay Marathon last weekend.
This race is a fun relay setup where you run on teams that you meet at checkpoints along the White Pine Trail. Some runners did it on their own. Good miles in the bank. Chill atmosphere. Fun finish party at Vitalies.
