Exactly a month ago — on the 3rd of May — Joshua and I stood before a beautiful gathering at the solemnization of our wedding at Rainbow Christian Assembly, Warri.
It was an honour to be joined in holy matrimony by Apostle Dave Heman-Ackah and his lovely wife, Mummy Rhoda. We were also deeply blessed to have our pastors from Daystar Christian Centre, The Elevation Church Abuja, Glorious Fountain Ministries, and the presence of Father Mbaka. What a privilege!
A special thank you to my pastor who prayed with me at St. Mark's Church, and for the counselling sessions we received from both St. Mark's and The Elevation Church. We’re so grateful for the spiritual guidance that led us to this moment of our lives.
A Warri wedding truly demands strength and power! We planned for 250 guests but were joyfully overwhelmed by the love of over 400 amazing people who came to celebrate with us. Honestly, we should have booked a stadium for the reception. — haha!😆
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who travelled from Canada, US, UK, Ireland, Italy, Chad, and every part of Nigeria to be part of our special day in Warri. Your presence meant the world to us.🥰

It was beautiful, colourful, and successful.
My bride price was paid in full by my patient Edo groom, who came for his Urhobo bride 😜. When it comes to the subject of marriage, I usually tend to change the topic in a clever way. But you see, you get to a point in life. It is either you are desperate or you just continue living your life with a meaning. I knew I couldn't continue to change the topic anymore. 😁
I enjoyed every bit of the traditional wedding ceremony.

For me, working in male-dominated industries or being the only Black woman at the senior management decision table can feel challenging and lonely—lonely at the top 😊.
With this year's IWD theme: Accelerate Action, my goal remains to drive women's economic empowerment by recruiting, retaining, and developing diverse talent across the globe. I’m also committed to supporting women and girls in leadership and decision-making roles.
Excitingly, in June, I hope to launch an academy dedicated to this mission—God helping me!
