It was a privilege to reconnect with @mikaelkingsbury for a few days during his QC summer summer training sessions. We looked back at moments from a legendary career and many incredible stories were shared that day. It might not look like it but an insane amount of work went into research and archival selection to brings these stories to life. It was also my first time playing around with @higgsfield.ai to animate Mik’s childhood photos. Thanks again @lg2canada for the trust and best of luck to @mikaelkingsbury for the upcoming olympics. MIK KINGSBURY - LEGACY (DC)
What a ride it’s been. When we shot this back in Lac-Beauport a few months before the Olympics, we only could have dreamt of what would happen on the slopes in Italy. We knew it was a possibility, but for Mik to retire on top after winning Silver AND Gold for Canada, this piece about legacy couldn’t have been more relevant.
It’s been an absolute pleasure documenting @mikaelkingsbury ‘s process and I really appreciated working with our team on this project. I guess this is my way of honouring Mik’s legendary career and the impact he has had not only on me but on the whole Canadian population. Thanks again for the opportunity 💪🏻
