It is that time of the year again. Rauhnacht Journal 2025 by @_thx.universe
4 years ago my friend @sveaschuhm gave me a handwritten notebook to accompany me through the “Rauhnächte” (slide 2). Reflect on the year. Let go of what is no longer needed. Manifest and visualize a vision for the year to come.
Truth be told: I realized I will never have the patience to write all the questions and rituals into a notebook by hand every year. Comes in handy I do design for a living. So with some Indesign magic I put together the first layout and refined it every year.
Since 2023 the journal is printed and refined with the great and supporting team @risofort .
This year is extra special: the cover is letterpress printed with @officina_polychroma . See the before and after (slide 11). Growing up.
They are being decorated with lovely stitchings and meticulously bound with transparent coils as we speak.

This year Studio Nonsens turns 4. Time flies. Comparing the studio‘s life to a human life it would be a little child by now. Learning. Walking. Exploring. Talking back from time to time. Still in the sweet state of a child‘s mind. Overflowing Fantasy. Challenging rules. Learning to work with and around them.
This methapor seems fit to the state we are in. Girl you‘ll be a woman soon.
