Thank you @huisgenoot for sharing our story. In addition to the article, we will further share our hearts with you. In 2019 as I was doing some cosmetic shopping at @dischem_pharmacies I spontaneously purchased a twin pack baby bodyvests. On one was printed “Don’t wake me, I’ll wake you” and the other one was covered in “Milk”. It served as a reminder that God’s will be done. I got home and hung the pack on our bedroom cupboard as a reminder of our destiny. Clint got home and looked at me, knowing that I had taken a test somewhere in that week. (Crazy- I know) As a result, these precious vests stayed there for a few years without any luck. (Had I collected all the negative tests in a box, it would easily be way more than a dozen. That’s enough reason to feel discouraged.) In the interim I got a vision of myself and 2 of my girlfriends being pregnant at the same time. I told them about it, and they laughed in disbelief. Needless to say, they got pregnant 1 month apart while I was still in the waiting. Confused by God’s plan, I tried to be a supportive friend. I was really happy for them. My brother then announced that they were with child again. I told my mom that I wanted to gift his baby with it who would make her appearance in January 2023. My mom encouraged me to hold on to it for a little longer… 😏 I listened! Flash forward after the 4 year longing period. Enduring hard “not yets”, building up subtle traces of resentment because “why not now!”. Friend & family who fervently prayed with us… hoping that some day would be soon! This is a word of encouragement to all the mommies-and-daddies-to-be. God does not give you a desire that He will not fulfil. It requires of us to fine tune our ears to His voice. Some get their blessings earlier than others, because our journeys are tailored. God is always ON TIME. That is what we can say about our journey. Our love for one another as a couple has matured into that of inspiration (to ourselves even). It’s difficult to cultivate joy in the waiting for our blessings to arrive, but that is what’s required. 111 years of celebrating what God has done for our community at the memorial site of Sam !Khubis. It marks a new chapter of alignment and restoration of our people. We do not speak of being marginalised anymore. Instead we claim a special place under the sun, because we know and have seen the light. Our Father has delivered us from the hands of our enemies 111 years ago, and it took 111 years to not only be seen, but honoured for a victory obtained for the Namibian nation. It was not only a battle for our people, but for the entire country raped by genocide at a colonial hand, relentless to gain… I am proud to have witnessed history with my family. Meet your Miss Teen Namibia 2026 Judge… Steffi van Wyk-Brink is a multifaceted pioneer with a zeal for life. Her passions are evident in the way she exhibits her gifts. Not only is she an athlete who represented Namibia in multiple sporting codes, she is also a Sport Scientist and coach. Steffi is a model, and beauty Queen (Miss Namibia 2015) who represented her beloved country at Miss World, gaining the title of Miss World Sport 2015. She is also a devoted wife; and mother. The powerhouse reality star dominated the scene on Survivor SA Season 7 and 9. She currently holds the record for the most days played in Survivor South Africa. This mogul also dabbled in acting, which was inspired by her husband, iconic Clint Brink. Steffi starred on Getroud Met Rugby (KykNet) and Die Vlieënde Springbokkie (SABC3). Steffi believes that the Sky isn’t the limit, there is life beyond. Joy comes when you start unlocking your full potential.
