Just keep punching 🥊🌱 …. Mixed emotions looking at this picture…. (4.5 years ago) I’d just turned 40, built this shed on the weekend I turned 40 with a good mate (cheers Pooks), left a job I thought I’d never leave, 3 kids under 12, Carrie was still teaching & a handful of orders from Chefs who I call my closest friends….. scared shitless and a fire to survive/succeed…. This year is going to be a good one.. hang on 🌱🚀 🌎

Two years ago Ruby said I really love flowers and considering becoming a florist. All the girls have helped me since they were very young (even hiding them under a tarp and flowers to get them through security at Flemington so they could help) I never thought they would do this as a career though. I started as a florist in 1993 and quickly fell in love with Melbournes hospitality scene. Before I knew it I was doing flowers in Melbourne restaurants and bars everywhere and the many of the people I worked for back then have become dear friends, so many great memories, I’ve loved bringing flowers from the hills to the big smoke. Flowers have always come first and the things I’ve done outside of that a far second. Working on the Woodleigh School has made me realise how much I love building design and developing new materials and methods. Ruby deciding to follow in my footsteps has made it easy for me to decide to finish doing flowers and focus my energy on the built environment. I told @brucekeebaugh that I was going to stop and he said, wait there’s one more event you simply must do! My son’s wedding! It was so much fun especially because with Bruce and Chyka we’ve created so many events together over the years. @rubybakker_ I hope this career will give you as much joy as it’s given me, I love that you’ve called your little business @bakkerflowers And of course only use locally grown flowers! I’m excited to share the products and projects I’m working on with you over the following weeks. To everyone that I have interacted with through flowers - thankYOU 🙏

Rose Petal and Pistachio hues set a tasty tone for this exceptional work by @timshawglass at LANDMARK by @lexusaustralia A considered expression of artisanal craftsmanship, closely aligned with the Japanese Takumi master practice - reinterpreted through a local lens! Congratulations and thank you, Tim, for your collaboration on this project.

The dining room at Landmark by Lexus was designed as a study in the geometry of spatial planning and hospitality. Solid timber pieces folding up into cubic forms that echo the rigour of Japanese design as well as the honest simplicity of Judd’s furniture, while overhead, soft fabric canopies introduce a sense of lightness and theatre. Thank you to the mathematical genius of @steffdalberto for ensuring the right amount of ‘flounce’. @lexusaustralia Photography | @lillie_thompson

Landmark by Lexus 2025 As photographed beautifully by @lillie_thompson , I am excited to unveil this project in its captured and pictorial form. Across three floors, the Landmark by Lexus pavilion unfolded as a sequence of atmospheres, a journey shaped by colour, materiality and sensorial contrast. As part of the Melbourne spring racing carnival, the pavilion explores the intersection of craft and technology, nature and artifice, restraint and theatrically. An absolute pleasure to be a part of this event for the second year in a row as designer. @lexusaustralia @thebiggrouphospitalityagency
