Her DJing started with an 8ball Radio show, which then transitioned to live sets. The sound playfully ranges from techno to funk to industrial and beyond. ꩜ I’m Silk - @amiranatanne , a NOLA born, NYC based sound selector. My sound is an eclectic blend of dance music, but harmony is key (I’m a Libra). I love a good rhythm with some bounce to it, probably some bass, or something a bit off centre. Always tasteful and my friends think I’m funny. ꩜ @actuatordj / @chriskindred - actuator: a device that converts a signal and energy into physical motion. actuator layers electronic music from across the Black diaspora to send the dance floor straight to cyberspace. 8 Ball Radio returns to @franciskiteclub with one for the DIY heads and music lovers <3 Opening up the night we have Stola (@dearbootleg )! Stola is a music and DIY obsessive who has been involved with the 8-Ball Community since 2021. Her goal is to make people move. Next up, Rice Rips (@rice_rips )! Rice Rips is the amorphous musical project of Lucas Hickok. His music typically lands somewhere on a spectrum from indie songcraft to freaky uptempo breakbeats. This particular iteration will take shape as loopy and droning guitar-infused downtempo. Finally, closing out, we have Shalma (@babyy_universe )and a special guest of hers - Shalma describes herself as the following: “harp strings, loops, and wind”. Expect to see these on Friday night!
