my name’s Justin Powell — a self-taught photographer based in Southwest Florida.
what started as curiosity slowly became a way for me to translate emotion, atmosphere, and energy into imagery. over time, I realized I’m less interested in simply taking photos, and more interested in creating frames that actually feel like something.
cinematic portraiture, movement, silence, tension, expression, the moments in-between — that’s the direction I’ve been drawn toward most lately.
