‘All I have is this emotion’
In December 2022 I went to Senegal to shoot a film in collaboration with Sadlers Wells and Ecole des Sables.
When I came back. I wrote this.
“…as I have to search for more words than what I’ve got I think I’ve never experienced so much beauty all at once. Its like someone or something shot me right through the chest with an injection of bliss.
All the crap and unhealthy thoughts wear off as I forgive the pain I gave to others and the one got given to me. The blame to do what I feel seems distant. What was once toxic is now weightless. I’m no more bereft of my smiles. If this feeling was a sound would be as loud as the resilience of millions relentless heartbeats. Compassionate. Confident. Caring.
Now, all I have is this emotion. I want to remember it every time I’ll need it. Like something kind and unique kept somewhere special inside me”
Being able to transfer this emotion in every job I do is what I achieved.
The reward is endless.
