We're so proud of our talented and dedicated student-athletes! StC's Outdoor Track team won the state championship over the weekend, making this the third time in our school history that the team has won the Prep League and VISAA titles in both outdoor and indoor categories in the same school year.
Not to be outdone, Varsity Tennis won its seventh consecutive VISAA title with a win over Potomac School on Saturday. Outstanding, Saints!
It's #TeacherAppreciationWeek! Let's all thank our talented, dedicated educators, who challenge our boys and support them at every step. Our StC educators go above and beyond throughout the year. Thank you, Saints!
Today, our seniors had the privilege of attending Lower School chapel. The LS and older students heard from the Beaux Ties, sang and prayed in a joyful morning ceremony together. For many of the Class of 2026, it was a meaningful moment of reflection, as they recalled their early experiences at LS chapel services and the friendships they've made over the years.
Charles Lange '26 addressed the LS, and shared personal stories of courage from his life and the Bible story of Peter walking on water to inspire the boys. "Growth happens when you're brave enough to be a little cold, a little bit shaky and a lot move alive," Lange said. "When the wind picks up and the waves look big, remember what the Bible tells us: So, Peter got out of the boat."
Saints, don't miss Ampersand's "Bright Star," a stirring musical set in the early twentieth-century American South. Inspired by a true story, the production runs tonight through Saturday. Learn more: /arts/box-office

It was a delight for our Upper School to host Lucy Hatcher yesterday! Hatcher, an award-winning producer for "60 Minutes," spoke to our boys as this year's Camp Speaker about her fascinating academic and professional journey.
Early in her career, Hatcher's background was in education and public policy, but it was at Harvard that she met her mentor, veteran TV journalist Bob Schieffer. In 2015, during the presidential campaign, Hatcher learned the fundamentals of reporting while working closely with Schieffer as a researcher.
"In my meetings with Bob, he would ask, "What are you interested in today? What do you want to know?' And his response was always the same: 'Well, call them,'" Hatcher said. "It was that semester that I learned one of the most important skills for a journalist: how to pick up the phone and cold call anyone and everyone who I thought could help me answer my questions."
Now an accomplished journalist, Hatcher's investigative work has taken her around the world, and she has received Emmy and Sigma Delta Chi Awards for Television Investigative Reporting. She spoke to our boys about the process of putting together a news story from start to finish, and she discussed her reporting on safety issues at Boeing, the aftermath of the 2025 Southern California wildfires, and a story on the war in Iran that she's currently working on.
We want to thank Lucy Hatcher for speaking to our boys and the Camp family for their generosity!
What a joy it was to have Saints of all ages join us for Reunion Weekend! From Friday's Red & Gray Soiree to Saturday's chapel service and class reunion parties, it was heartwarming to see so many familiar faces together again.
Whether we spent time recalling old memories or looking ahead to the future, the weekend was inspiring. We can't thank our alumni community enough for making this weekend an event to remember. Go Saints!

This morning, the Upper School gathered in Memorial Chapel to hear Rev. Kevin Newell, Rector at Emmanuel Episcopal Church at Brook Hill, speak about the Episcopal traditions of love and inclusion.
Drawing on his personal life and early experiences of faith, Newell spoke to the community on the Day of Silence, a national, student-led event in which students and allies take a vow of silence to protest the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination against LGBTQ people in schools.
"The point of the Book of Jonah is to remind us that in our small-minded prejudices, we demand God to change God's mind to be more like ours," said Newell. "When, in fact, we are asked as followers of God to change our minds to be more like that of our loving God."
Following the service, the StC Gay-Straight Alliance student group handed out stickers to students and faculty who would remain silent throughout the day, or to those who would support.
