SOON: STCLVR - s/t STCLVR (pronounced "streetcleaver") is a heavy electronic unit forged in the murky, toxic, industrial filth of the western NY noise community in the late 2010s by non-binary artist G Mor. With the addition of new guitarist and co-producer Rosalie October, STCLVR now operates as a two-piece and performs a unique brand of dark, aggressive "death EBM" consisting of heavy downtuned riffs, highly energetic, thumping beats, distorted synth loops and blackened vocal shredding caked in grime and self-loathing. While earlier STCLVR music was primarily programmed electronically or at times full-on noise, the 2026 full length from the new incarnation brings metal and hardcore influences to the forefront, elements that had only been hinted at on previous releases. The heft of Rosalie's guitar and haunting atmospheric contributions mesh perfectly with Mor's unhinged vocal performance and fever dream disco backdrops resulting in a collection of songs that are in turn urgently restless and danceably catchy. Dwid Hellion (Integrity, Psywarfare) even gets in on the madness for the track "Gag," providing additional vocals and electronics. Fans of Broken-era NIN, Godfesh, or even the less chaotic moments of cybergrind pioneers Genghis Tron will certainly find something here to latch on to. "STREETCLEAVER" is a definitive release from a now fully realized project firing on all cylinders. Release date TBA. Saturday April 25th 10pm SHARP Flesh Shuddering presents Goth Night at Harvey’s Garden . What to Expect: STCLVR (pronounced “streetcleaver) is a heavy electronic unit forged in the murky toxic industrial filth of the western NY noise community in the late 2010s by non-binary artist G Mor. With the addition of new guitarist and co-producer Rosalie October, STCLVR now operates as a two piece and performs a unique brand of dark, metallic, aggressive “death ebm” consisting of heavy downtuned riffs, highly energetic, thumping beats, distorted synth loops and blackened vocal shredding caked in grime and self loathing. Faux Fear’s music captures that delicate balance between ecstatic beauty and meaningless void. Aesthetically a goth band, Faux Fear is gilded in romanticism and, likewise, favors a return to past form: rejecting cold maximalism for the passion that comes with doing it yourself. There’s an intimacy to the recordings that feels like a celebration of the act; even the drum-machine has a warm, human touch to it. You can hear how delicate it all hangs in the balance; the frailty of three people working together on a shared project is what makes the music so visceral. The band is based in Reading, PA, a semi-forgotten city between Philadelphia and Harrisburg. Perhaps once it was a nice place to live with easy access to the river and surrounding woods, but it has turned. Faux Fear is a symptom of that end and a staunch reminder that there’s beauty in decay. an ant is a solo cyberdoom project integrating lo fi keyboards, pedal noise and harsh vocals, with lyrical commitments to radical ecology and a politics of general opposition to the world as we know it. Based in Syracuse on illegally-occupied Onondaga land. Our friend and regular performer at my events I-SM will be hosting Jason Calhoun’s tour as an early show at Pink Rock at 6:30 p.m. Also performing at Harvey’s Garden 5-8 p.m. Saturday, will be the acoustic stylings of McArdell & Westers and pizza from Toss and Fire from 12-9 p.m. I really appreciate Harvey’s Garden taking a chance on this show and graciously letting me use their space.

Next show at my house is gonna be a bit different but I think people will really like it. I’m calling this goth night because it’s a more dancy fun dark wave, industrial event. It’s also starting at 10pm because our homie I.sm is hosting Jason Calhoun downtown at Pink Rock at 6:30 as part of Jason’s tour. Please go to both if you can. Faux Fear and Jason Calhoun both were looking to play Cuse April 25th as part of tours and we decided not to compete as the scenes small enough; no need to split it up more. Hope to see you all. Bring a friend who’s never been to one of these shows. This one’s a great introduction. #gothnight #industrial #syracusescene
