Throwback to our first season when we walked all of the plants to the market. Thankful for the wild ride it's been over the last three years - feels like both a blur & forever. S/o to greensgrow (rip) for the plant cart. We drive to market now, but the cart lives on as a trusty, albeit pretty tippy, shelf in the backyard. Thanks again for all of your support - couldn't do this without you all. See u this weekend? Got a lot of good stuff!
Plants plants plants! Got some new ones for u this weekend - raspberries, okra, cucumbers, watermelon, chocolate mint, lemon thyme. Assorted limited run tomatoes 👀. The irises are flowering!
Clark Park Farmers Market today 10-2. We are open tomorrow on Mother's Day too, 10-2 @ St Bernard & Warrington
It is, once again, the weekend & therefore time for plants! We did a tray count yesterday, and we have 237 trays of plants in the sideyard. Trays hold either 18, 32, 50, 72, or 128 plants, depending on the age & type of plant. We've already sold nearly 3,000 plants this spring (thanks!). To everyone who walks by the yard and says some variation of "wow, this is crazy" - you're right, it's nuts. If you haven't walked by, you can visit us at our corner of S St Bernard & Warrington on Sundays. We are hoping to sell quite a few more plants this year, would love to see u this weekend!
🌱PLANT SALE TODAY🪴

Come on by and and get your thumbs green 🧤
Basil & peppers are coming out this week!*
Other new things include echinacea, wild bergamot, anise hyssop, sunflowers, cosmos, lemon verbena, tarragon & more
*it's not really warm enough this weekend for peppers and basil, but the weather seems to be turning on Monday for the warmer, so I'm bringing them out. They'll probably be fine, but keep them inside overnight until Monday to be safe. Or wait and get them next week. Or plant them out and let me know how it goes. Cucumbers, okra, and melons come out next week
It's a great day to get some plants! It is not raining! Come compliment Nico on the new folding tables that he got a great deal on. We have also upgraded to using a trailer! Big infrastructure week
Ok, we are going to have tomatoes this weekend. Last slide is this year's variety list, got some new ones in the mix.
I still think its early, but the upcoming weather won't damage them & I am running out of space to hold onto them. They probably won't grow much until it warms up but they'll go for it then. Keep them inside if you like, but they are hardened off. There will be more successions to come all through May! So you can wait and get nice tomatoes in a few weeks too
Basil, peppers, etc won't be out until next weekend

We are really experiencing nonlinear high & low temps of Spring this year. I know that this week feels like tomato season, but we are looking at lows in the 30s next week, and tomatoes do not like lows below 50. Tomatoes, basil, peppers, etc are coming, I promise, but not yet - maaaybe last week of April, certainly first week of May. So what can you plant this time of year? Greens, onions, leeks, cold-hardy herbs, cool season flowers, & native plants all thrive in April. Got some fun veggies like celery, bokchoy, cabbage, broccoli, and fennel too. And strawberries! And seeds for beets, carrots, radishes, beans, and more! Come on out this weekend & see the spring bounty :)
