"So, the time has come for my first video game OST release (link in bio), and I want to say a few words.
FIRST of all, I can't describe my gratitude to @astronautdown for inviting me into the inspiring and beloved sonic world he created for Risk of Rain. His generosity throughout the whole process has been unreal — and having his two keyboard solos on the album means so much to me.
Thank you @gearbox for the trust, and to the whole crew who made an amazing DLC that influenced the music in so many ways. We truly did this together.
To my dear friend Orestis Zafeiriou — thank you for the countless long nights on synths and drums programming, damaging our ears and mixes with me :--)
And @foivoszacharopoulos , my guitar idol since I was 11 — your heartfelt solos in a single day of recording were mind-blowing.
Lastly, thank you to the @riskofraingame community for the love and for making me feel part of this warm family.
We’ll Rain Together..

👏🏻 PLAYGROUNDED unveil new early single “Counting Embers”
Out of their forthcoming album ‘A Flower to Water’ to be released in autumn, ‘Counting Embers’ is a track that announces itself explosively. Pulsing synth sequences, distorted digital tones, and modular arpeggiations lend a futuristic edge that contrasts the organic weight of live instrumentation: thick bass tones, angular guitar chords, and drums that can move from restrained pulse to relentless propulsion. Vocals float in highly charged introspection, serving understated, but haunting melodies. Through gradual transformation, the landscape unfolds in a meticulously constructed yet emotionally resonant narrative of tension and grief.
The band comments on the single:
“Today we share new music with you for the first time in a while. A song about the fires of this world and how painfully familiar they have become. Always aware that ashes can bloom.”
