Paul evans, Southern England. (Couldn't date it) This painting is very contrasting to the first one. Muted colours that are yet very impactful and loudly subtle, confessing the deep experience and the absolute mastery of Mr Evans with his brush for 45 years. We enjoy the changes of seasons. Are we not blessed that they repeat themselves ? how would it be otherwise ? One of the first things you will grow to miss. you get to know it so well - each season - , that feeling of longing, as if every season is a lesson in a soon to come and inevitable departure, but you are powerless, as you let go. one of the first things you learn - as soon as you're old enough to notice change - is the fleeting nature of everything under the hegemonic oppression of time. 🎶 - Takahiro Kido, Tokyo based composer.

Paul Evans - Suffolk, England. (Couldn't date it) "Paul captures quite places and the essence of the place and time. He has an extra ordinary ability to capture not only the visual scene but the smells, temperature and emotion sensation His ability to capture light in his paintings is exquisite and mesmerising, and brings an elusive quality to his work." from erosgallery. His work is so incredibly pleasing to look at, with an insanely long career and a very distinct style, truely a gem. very excited to explore more of his work in the next few posts with you all. 🎶 - portico quartet, London based jazz band. such a sweet and sugary sound.

Justin T worrell - Virginia, USA According to what I've learned from my brief scholarly pursuit of tonalism in general, the main aim of these incredible oil paintings is to capture the mood, feel and atmosphere of a moment, in a transcendental way. That might be the description of all art, in a sense, but it feels more literal in the case of Justin's work, as alot of the paintings seem to not focus on the details of the physical landscape. "I do not paint landscapes. I paint compromise between the temporal and eternal. I work to this effect through atmospheric, moody, and sublime images that are typically derived from my imagination." - a direct excerpt from Justin's website which I advice everyone to visit, to view the rest of beautiful works he has, Just type in his name on google ! 🎶Samuel Barber - Excursion for piano, op. 20 - 3.Allegrato. 1940s, you can literally tell how much contemporary american music influences this, crazy.

Justin T. Worrell - Virginia, USA. I'm gonna be starting with a study of contemporary American tonalist Justin T worrell, as our introduction to American Tonalism. Paired with early 20th century American musical compositions. Your mental state is the highest court reality is subject to. What I mean by that is we can only perceive reality at any moment solely through the filters imposed by our emotions, the colours of our mood, and the lens of our hearts. Only the soul is inherited clear. These objects and artifacts of a human mind are, to say the least, fickle, yet so beautifully poetic.
