Renovated in the 1980s by the Junior Service League of St. Augustine, this structure is undergoing historic preservation in 2026!

Watch historic preservation in action during National Historic Preservation Month. The 1876 Keepers’ House is getting its first major restoration in over three decades! Including new decks, stairs, windows, railing and exhibits. The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum is open regular hours and guests can see the work in progress.
Thanks to visitors, the nonprofit museum is able to do this important restoration project and continue its mission — To discover, preserve, present and keep alive the stories of the Nation’s Oldest Port.
