Their method is to combine a feel for nature with purposeful design and a decisive infusion of nonchalance, thereby creating products that are essentially timeless. Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub got to know each other while studying industrial design at Schwäbisch Gmünd University. After completing their diplomas, they opened their own office in Stuttgart in 1994. They design for the who’s who of the industry: Brunner, Cassina, Cor, Fritz Hansen, Herman Miller, Nemo, Stelton, Thonet or Wilkhahn. Editor Ralph Jahns is curator for international renowned brands. There, on that noisy, crowded traffic island, was this young couple kissing. They were so happy and in love, a haven of peace amid the hustle and bustle of Berlin. It touched me deeply. (b.1981) is a Contemporary artist from Germany who lives and works in Berlin and Barcelona. She studied Fine Arts at Braunschweig school of art and later on obtained her Master of Fine Arts by John Armleder. Her fast and colorful paintings ironize the contemporary mass consumerist aesthetic of a decadent, abundant society in picturing her everyday life in the digital age. Additionally, her work has been shown in several galleries and museums in worldwide. Some examples include the Tokyo Art Museum (Tokyo), the Saatchi Gallery (London), Museum Villa Rot (Burgrieden), Kunstverein (Hannover).
