I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t mesmerized by the sunsets here each night. And of course the waves are my muse. 🌊 🌅 🏝️
Feeling super grateful that my camera takes me to some pretty cool places.
(3/3) Returning to the highly esteemed @vibfa in back-to-back years for their 20th anniversary is an immense privilege that I do not take lightly. This feels like a dream come true.
Last year, I brought my happiest, most joyful act to the Playhouse to laugh with my friends. Tonight, I am bringing my saddest, most emotional act to the Playhouse to cry with my friends.
This week, I spent time with so many wonderful friends in Vancouver. Friends with whom I can go out for coffee, oysters, or dim sum with. Friends whose fierce art I am thrilled to support out loud. Friends who recognize that a rising tide lifts all boats.
I am thrilled to share “Not Your Fucking Goddess” on the Playhouse stage and cry with my friends tonight.
Let’s have a good cleansing, communal cry together.

(1/3) It is @vibfa week!
I want to take a second to share the inspiration for “Not Your Fucking Goddess”, the Korean folktale of the Fairy and the Woodcutter.
Once upon a time, there was a Fairy who lived in the heavens. With beautiful flowy robes that gave them power of flight, she and her sisters would float down to the human realms to occasionally take a bath at a secluded pond deep within a heavily wooded forest.
After one such bath however, the Fairy could not find her robe. She searched, and searched, and searched. She begged and pleaded to her sisters, but she could not return to the heavens without her robe. So she was left behind on Earth, stranded with nowhere to go.
Suddenly, there was a rustle in the bushes near the pond and the Woodcutter came out. The man asked, “Are you okay? Do you need any help?”
The Fairy responded, “I seem to have misplaced my clothes somewhere. Can you please take me to the nearest village?” He gave her his coat and together they left for the Woodcutter’s village.

The studio was graced by a goddess today. Does @curvee_b_burlesque look better in color or black and white?
I love how these photos feel like sunshine, especially in the color version. 🌞
I’ve been really enjoying honing my headshot skills over the last year. For this shot I played around with bouncing a strobe off of a gold reflector for the rim lighting.
I like the softness of bouncing the light instead of directly pointing the strobe at the subject with a gold gel attachment.

It’s been really fun seeing this corner revamp come to life. I’ll admit I was a little unsure of the vision but seeing the photos meet my vision is VERY FULFILLING.
@haughtyhazelnut brought dapper elegance to this set that gave the room an elevated decadence.
Visit me in the studio so we can shoot in the new corner! Message me to get on my calendar 💋✨
