‘Transitters’ Two wooden chairs, false plug socket, expired/unwanted hardware and wiring from scavenged Radios, CD/DVD players, Speakers etc, two antennas, LED lights, silicone. 1/3 parts of my graduate show -- these are the visual center -- the midway ? -- the entrance Following extensive research into dictating non verbal language and ‘meaningful’ communication, ‘FOR LACK OF BETTER WORDS’ is a realisation of a crip perspective on information processing and expected function within a lifespan. The ‘Transitters’ challenge the idea of waste, collected from outside of my GP, they primarily serve as a space to rest, listen and process. Mended and restored using entirely unwanted material they are incapable of any ‘sucessful’ electrical purpose- instead they perform the image of ability or ablebodiness.

DEADLINE- 18th may (1 week) : ITS A ROTTEN WORLD OUT THERE We present to you a freee workshop residency project spanning the next few months in collaboration with wonderful South London community spaces @piehouse.coop @thefeministlibrary leading up to an exhibition night of puppetry, cabaret and performance in @lewishamarthouse We will be using a combination of character creation, storytelling, and play with materials to explore disability and movement. This event would be a continuation from the research of our workshop “extensions of the body mind” in which we explored looking beyond expected mobility aids, bodies and ways of being. The workshops will be collaborative between attendees and project direction will be group led with prompts and support from the core team. You do not have to be comfortable performing but the residency outcomes are to be exhibited on the final night. There is no one way to puppet! We encourage non-normative approaches beyond expected interpretations of puppets eg. shadow play, sculpture, dance, costume etc All venues are step-free, have an accessible toilet, are well ventilated and will have teas and coffees available on the day free of charge. Problem is it isn't user friendly at all on mobile and much easier to navigate on desktop --> if anyone knows free, anti-z!0, mobile friendly alternatives get in touch --> slowly trying to understand code a bit to make it more accessible each time. love rage and solidarity 4eva

Myself, @johnniecore_murphy and @paddymcmullan_ will be performing+/scoring 'The Cryptkeeper' live ‘The Cryptkeeperʼ is a poem from the perspective of a person unwilling to abandon their home even if it is crumbling around them, a person in glorious defence who wants to be recognised with their scars. (here is a 2min sample from one of our rehersals and a particularly nice section of simulated wind)
