How many posts is too many about winning a BAFTA? You’re going to have to accept two, I’ve got people to thank.
I just burst with happiness and pride every time I remember what just happened. It’s the one of the best nights of my life and a long held dream for many of us who work in television.
I feel unbelievably lucky that I get to work on #ScamInterceptors. It’s an incredibly important show, on an incredibly important topic, doing something journalistically which had never been done before on TV.
Without our magnificent team, who somehow make the often intensely stressful experience of making it feel light and fun, so much so that I look forward to every day we do it, I’d be nowhere.
Some important shoutouts: Rowland, the exec who made it happen and called me first, Sherry for being the most incredibly calm boss, who trusts me like no other and keeps us all on track always,
@ravwilding for guiding me and making my first presenting experience seem remarkably normal and easy,
@thatmarkjames and
@harleennottay who are the most fantastic crew to hang with in the hub every day, always there with the right thought at the right time, and just a gigantic pleasure off screen as well,
@odingillies for taking the show to new heights with his attention for visual detail, artful eye and willingness to be camera on shoulder 8hrs a day for 9 weeks every year! Not to mention the rest of the series 2 hub crew like research demon
@alicefharp ,
@flynnpanzee and Wayne who I can’t find on here right now. You’re all BAFTA winners too.
I also can’t forget the unseen heroes of the edit like my dream edit partner
@cassiedurham001 , Dagmar,
@mrs_ruth_gallacher , Mark Murray,
@spoffe , Dylan, just an unbelievably good set of storytellers who manage not to lose their minds despite our insane data output making the show. And Street Post for not crumbling under the weight of it.
And last but not least,
@rachellplatt for having the guts to commission such a crazy idea.
I love you all - working with you is the greatest pleasure of my professional life. We did the telly treble!
