Three years ago I decided to focus fully on being a designer. So it feels slightly surreal to now have a show I designed running in New York, 370 performances in, still playing to sold-out audiences, and now on its third extension at
@newworldstages .
Last summer I spent five weeks in New York teching and opening Amaze with Jamie Allen. The show is a real testament to the people behind it, and I feel very lucky to be part of that team.
It pushed me in all the right ways - testing what I already knew and opening up new ways of thinking about design that I hadn’t considered before.
It took a small army to get it on its feet - thank you to the team who brought the original West End version to life, and to everyone who joined to help grow it into something even bigger in New York.
