I will never be able to properly express how awesome the @metallica takeover weekend in Philly was for me. This post has some of my favorite pictures and videos but the experience of it can’t be captured, it was lived. I’m incredibly grateful to have my band of 26 years which also contains lifelong friends and a community of awesome people who came out to support our first gig back in two years. Last year, an injury made it so I couldn’t even get through one song on drums. This year, we got asked by Metallica to play their takeover event - a call from Metallica is something we used to dream about as kids. And it happened. Over 400 people showed up and it was truly special. To top it off, Metallica gave us snake pit passes for night 2, allowing our entire band and crew to enjoy the show together as close as we could possibly get to the stage. Much gratitude to everyone that took part with us and helped make this weekend one that can’t be topped.
