Submissions are still OPEN and we invite contemporary creatives with UK links to submit works for an exhibition at Standen House during summer 2026. Spanning the entire property, the exhibition will celebrate contemporary responses to Standen and the Arts & Crafts Movement A three month exhibition in the summer months at Standen offers a unique opportunity to have work curated within the main exhibition, and to have work selected to be displayed throughout the house alongside the properties significant collection. We welcome work that engages with a contemporary responses to the Arts & Crafts movement with a particular focus on the keystones of the movement: - Craftship - Nature - The material culture of home - Interior objects A National opportunity for the UK creative sector. 🌦️🌈 Between the downpours, the Kitchen Garden at Standen is absolutely bursting into life. Lush greenery, vibrant iris, graceful foxglove’s and the first poppies now beginning to bloom, everywhere you look there are signs of the season unfolding. Our thriving , no-dig veg beds are starting to show real promise too, we hope they will bring a beautiful bounty in the months ahead. 🐈📷You are trying to snap the new signage for this weekend’s Maker’s Fair and Apple steals the moment.. again. He seems awfully insistent on joining in all activities here. He even inspected the set up of the marquee. We are aware that Apples owner is not best pleased that he is moonlighting in a new part time job inspecting the workmanship going on on our site.
