NEW RELEASE: In this creative adaptation of Sophie Treadwell’s Machinal, a merciless rhythm pursues a Young Woman from the moment she accepts her role in this play. It follows her through every aspect of her life, from the thundering footsteps of the crowds on the subway, to the clacking of typewriters at the office, to the clinking of glasses at the café. It seems like the more she tries to connect with others to find a way out, the deeper she falls into the trap. That is, until an unexpected connection with a stranger gives her a taste of freedom. She’s willing to do terrible things to taste it again...but is this truly the way out? A shape-shifting ensemble creates a highly theatrical version of 1920s New York City and the gears of a machine that still runs today in this exciting drama. #theatre #theatreteacher #oneactplay #theatrekid #play

“My brother has been shot dead!” And so begins our tale of lies, love, and lunch. It’s a bright morning on the di Nikoli estates and the loyal maid Truffledina just wants to eat breakfast. But her mistress, Nikolette di Nikoli, wants to disguise herself as her supposedly dead brother and go into the city to take care of his will and her inheritance. Nikolette and Truffledina head off to the city, where they meet (and confuse) many of the residents. Hilarity is guaranteed as one mistaken identity leads to another, loyalties and love are traded, and chaos ensues in the pursuit of Wild Strawberries. #theatre #theatreteacher #oneactplay #theatrekid #play

The Brothers Grimm tromp through the forest in search of fairy tales and stumble into a story: the princess “Cesario” and a band of eleven women have disguised themselves as Huntsmen. Over the night, the women tell stories inspired by food. Some are dark, some comic, some strange, some new, and some familiar. Every Huntsman has a story, but not all are told every night and the order is random. #theatre #theatreteacher #drama #fulllengthplay #play

A hunt for horror finds four friends at the Museum of the Macabre…a wax museum displaying scenes from short stories by great authors of Gothic Horror like Poe, Hawthorne, and Irving. But as unnerving as the exhibits - and the stories behind them - are…the real terror for the fearless four comes when the exhibits start to come to life! This easy-to-stage play celebrates great short stories of Gothic Horror, including: “The Birthmark” by Nathaniel Hawthorne “The Hand” by Guy De Maupassant “The Monkey’s Paw” by W.W. Jacobs “The Tell Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe “The Red Room” by H.G. Wells “The Velvet Ribbon” by Washington Irving “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman “The Shadows on the Wall” by Mary E. Wilkins Freeman Perfect for Halloween, one-act competitions, or in collaboration with English Lit teachers, this flexible, large-cast play will delight audiences and actors alike. #theatre #theatreteacher #drama #horror #play

Everyone in the little beach town of Mellingong can only take a few important things to their shelter in the big town hall, and young Oslo Rogers wants to help. His fun mother Ruthy is always helping the community, so Oslo goes to each of his eccentric neighbors with an offer to take their “love luggage”—the things they love the most—up to the town hall for them. But he’s surprised to hear their remarkable stories of all the different types of love there can be…and how tricky it can be to pack up. Love is filled with humor, heart, and opportunities for spellbinding theatrical storytelling for all ages. #theatre #theatreteacher #drama #fulllengthplay #play

NEW RELEASE: The theatre department needs a brilliant fundraiser. Why not throw some old props and costumes together to make a good old-fashioned haunted house? Sure, some of the props are from The Little Mermaid, only one techie showed up today, and the two actors sharing a cardboard box to play severed arms can’t stand each other...but other than that, what could possibly go wrong? Everyone’s about to find out when a chaotic stream of visitors arrive to encounter a toxic witch, a zombie Flounder, and a concussed ghoul. Classic backstage farce meets low-tech Halloween mayhem in this wildly silly one-act comedy. #theatre #theatreteacher #drama #donzolidis #play

NEW RELEASE: The Falcons are a championship team at the top of their game...and pretty much nobody watches them win. Women’s bowling is a collegiate sport with few spectators, but when Holly from the Athletics Department makes it her mission to raise their campus profile, she finds they’re focused on juggling conditioning, class, and competition, so it’s her job to share their story. The young women on the team just have to make it through their coaches’ grueling training regimen, adjust when a former rival transfers to join them, uncover the mysteries of Title IX, and try to figure out what to do with the rest of their lives after graduation. Discover a game rendered through theatrical fantasy, and all the hard work and heart it takes to make it to the top, in Bowling for Beginners. #theatre #theatreteacher #drama #theatrekid #play
