We get a lot of good folk music at Stage 33 Live. Most of it might be considered contemporary folk. Every now and then we get somebody with really deep roots in the best of the American folk revival of the '50s and '60s. This guy, Kray Van Kirk, could nestle right into that scene... the writing, the voice, the politics. But he's also thoroughly of right now.
Eclectic Alaskan fingerstyle guitarist Kray Van Kirk will sing songs, tell stories, and summon heroes on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in a 3:00 matinee at Stage 33 Live in Bellows Falls, Vermont. John Fealy opens. More information and tickets at the stage33live.com website. Advance tickets guarantee entry. Only 40 tickets will be sold. Advance sales will close at midnight the day before the show, or when 40 tickets are sold.

For those of you who really like getting off the beaten musical path, the 18th Thing in the Spring is coming up at Nova Arts in Keene, a three-day exploration of the different and new. There's only three or four acts on the entire bill that we've even heard of... for people who thrive on discovery, that's a terrific thing. Check it out at /thething
