Say hello to Sophia @sophiakennaa — a talented artist working out of Stackwood Studios here in Walyalup (Fremantle). Her pieces are made using a variety of mediums, allowing exploration of textural irregularities. Working with a mix of acrylic, oils, oil pastels, charcoal, canvas and fabric, Sophia seeks to investigate the notion of how we curate our own perception. Sophia’s work is permeated by memory and nostalgia, and within this, an examination of her own presence in relation to the world around her.
We’re so excited to have her as part of the Stackwood creative community. Head to her instagram to check out what she’s currently working on.
