Well how about that ? Found this ticket the other day when I was looking for something else. 35 years ago today (1991) the City Arts Centre. I remember lots around this gig but not much about it. TAD were fucking heavy & definitely worth seeing live ( in 1991) Therapy had played Dublin a few times & gotten very big very quickly & were already well on the way to being genuine rock stars ( which of course irked the ‘purists’). Tad made a joke about ‘lucky charms’ that not everyone got , my mates girlfriend slagged me off for wearing a ‘Run DMC’ t-shirt, there was an ongoing ESB industrial dispute which meant the Venue was in constant danger of losing power. Drinks were taken.
A fiver was a decent price for a gig, even in 1991.
There were lots of shite bands that clung to the Grunge Moniker, Tad were not one of them. Say what you like about the American Cultural colonialism of the 90’s , it had its moments though.

Picking them up is a bit of a tradition for me and I’ve had to hunt for them on occasion.
Almost missed out on the 2023 Mike D box but found it in a record shop in Sheffield.
