A.M.P. Gallery was never meant to be just a place you walk through - it’s a space you feel. A space where art doesn’t sit quietly on walls, but speaks… where music doesn’t just play, it moves you… and where poetry doesn’t just exist, it connects us. We built A.M.P. on the idea that creativity is meant to be shared - raw, unfiltered, and unapologetic. It’s where stories are told out loud, where perspectives meet without judgment, and where community is created in real time. Every canvas, every verse, every note is part of something bigger than any one artist - it’s a collective experience. And that’s exactly what we witnessed at our most recent First Thursday. To everyone who showed up, stepped up, performed, supported, created, and simply felt the moment - thank you. The energy in that room was undeniable. The courage on that mic was real. The connection? Even more real. You didn’t just attend an event - you built the experience. We’re grateful. We’re inspired. And we’re just getting started and already looking forward to next month.

Tomorrow, A.M.P. Gallery will be full of conversation, music, poetry, art, food, and people looking for something real. First Thursday is back. Featured poet Devin Stinson will be bringing his signature storytelling and creative energy to the mic alongside local voices from around the city. And beyond the poetry, the entire space will be alive with vendors, food on site, and New Deal Distillery tastings to keep the night flowing. This is the kind of night where you wander through artwork, meet somebody new, hear a poem that stays with you, and realize Portland still has spaces that feel connected. A few open mic slots are still available. Tickets are still available too. Tomorrow night at A.M.P. Gallery. Pull up and be part of it. 📍1124 NW 13th Ave 🎟 Tickets on Eventbrite | Link in bio

Photo dump from Mondays surprise Birthday gathering… I had no idea of what was going on except for a dinner with the wife. Just to walk into the @flockpdx with a room full of Friends and Family. *Full Disclosure…. If you weren’t invited, I had no idea about the gathering, it was totally on my wife who she invited based on who she could get ahold of and thought should be present 🤷🏽‍♂️. I had a great time tho 😊

This week has been A LOT! From what I can see, it has been for a lot of people in the world. And though I am optimistic most of the time, this week kicked my 🍑 Regardless of that, I was able to provide a lot of joy and glee for others and in turn, some of ssid joy & glee. I was able to absorb for myself. Every day is a new day to do something you haven't done before. Reach out to someone that has been on your heart. If you can , try to find the joy in something. Shout out to David Jefferson, CEO of @stackinkickz for continuing the vision gifted to him many moons ago. Follow & check out his website. ...... #AriettaWard #MzEtta #EttaFitChronicles #FindTheJoy #StackinKickz

Do you know David Jefferson? He’s the founder of Stackin Kickz (@stackinkickz ) in Portland, Oregon. Last week, the Converge Media crew, including The Big O (@omarisal ), producer Juma Blaq (@jumablaq ), and photographer Dean Bechard linked up with Jefferson to capture his impeccable aesthetic and story. Sixteen years ago, Jefferson started his urban street wear and lifestyle brand out the trunk, and now operates his storefront in the Lloyd Center Mall (@shoplloydcenter ) in Portland, Oregon, creating a place to celebrate global sneaker culture and share Jefferson’s signature Stackin style. Beyond retail, Jefferson is all about fostering unity and authenticity within the Black community. On top of Stackin Kickz, he co-created “Returning Black to Love,” a platform dedicated to facilitating meaningful conversations through panels and theatrical performances that explore identity and connection. Jefferson’s story is just one of many stories Converge Media continues to uplift across the Pacific Northwest. This is why Black Media Matters. Be on the lookout for the full story on Converge Media in the coming weeks. 📸: Dean Bechard (@deanarthurbechard ) #WWConverge #TheBigOShow #ConvergePDX #PortlandOR #StackinKickz
