Our youngest Academy group + Pelham puppets. Adorable. ❤️ Soon, they'll be making their own. Can anyone explain why an American accent always shows up?!!! 😂

A little bit of this (car washing). A little bit of that (cake and plant sale). What do you get? £1,000 raised to restore Porlock's ancient spire. Well done kids, you aced it. 🙂 Thanks to St Dubricius First School, Overstream, Sarah Brice and the Wonky team for a productive and daft day. ❤️ @porlockinformationcentre

It's that time of year again... when young people head off to GCSE Exam Land. Erin, Iola, Isaac, Luca, Mia and Rue. Six fabulous humans. We're rooting for you. Soon, it will be over, forgotten, and summer will be yours!!! 🙂 Images: @jon_barrett_photos

Time to give back. Our fabulous Academy kids will be washing cars whilst rocking out to some cracking tunes at St Dubricius School car park on Saturday 16 May from 10 am to 1 pm. Please bring us your dirty vehicles!!! We're raising money for Porlock Inspired. The oak shingles on the ancient spire desperately need replacing... a mammoth project is underway to achieve this. When we needed help last year, our local congregation showed up for us. Now we'll do the same for them. Tea and cake at our HQ whilst you wait. 🙂 Crowdfunder link here: /p/porlockinspired-help-save-our-spire

Just an empty space? No... this is Williton Pavilion, settling back into place after 16 of us danced together at the first Creative Contemporary Dance Club session. What a joy! Stacked Wonky for adults is up and running... 🙂 Thanks to everyone who came along. ❤️

The one and only Wainsgate Chapel... home to @wainsgatedances . Three wonderful days in West Yorkshire investigating movement and music composition with Jonathan Burrows and Matteo Fargion. My cup is full! Thank you @charliemorrissey and team... you are a huge inspiration. ❤️

This week our Academy kids discovered how a place can inspire a thousand performance ideas. We chased traces of Ada Lovelace in the woods and by the sea... Some ideas will thrive, others fall away. We're so excited to be making a site-specific work again - coming your way in September! Thanks to Jeff Cox for being our guide. 🙂

Something new for adults! I'm pretty darn excited to share what the past 25 years has taught me. I LOVE everything to do with dancing. 🔸First block of 4 sessions starts Friday 24 April 🔸£30 or £8/class (or pay what you can) No experience needed - only a wish to move or dance more than you do now. Jumping for joy. Congratulations James! Your solo has been shortlisted for the U.Dance National Platform in Glasgow in early July. "Courageous, emotionally rich... and deeply authentic." "It takes immense maturity to stand alone on stage and convey such personal material... you did so beautifully." Such fantastic feedback. The U.Dance Regional Platform really demonstrated young artists are on the move in the South West. Now that's exciting! Images: @jon_barrett_photos @riseyouthdance

Our Academy groups are circling Ada Lovelace. Here are responses to the only surviving daguerreotypes of Ada, which invite great questions about portraiture. 🔸 Who is in control of how we are portrayed? 🔸 What lies beneath the surface of a portrait? Lots of rich, funny conversations about school photographs too... BIG THANKS to Jon Barrett for leading on this. @jon_barrett_photos
